It’s been quite a while since my last post, even longer since my last progress post. I think it’s time to continue this again and keep a record of the things I’ve been working on. In the time I’ve been away I’ve mostly been maintaining Caturra and also doing a bit of work on Trinity. A lot has happened in this past week though.
Happy New Year everyone!! 🎉🎉
Week 2 of progress posts and I’m already a day late, oops. It hasn’t been a very productive week in terms of progress but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy. Overall there were some IRL things for me to be busy with but I have also spent some time on relaxing. Let’s get into the things I did work on though.
So, I randomly decided this week that I’m going to post a weekly progress update about the things I’ve been working on. If you’re curious to the things I’m working on and how things are going, then come back here every week to see some cool updates.
Git bisect isn’t a tool I need to use often but in the few cases where I did use it, it saved me a ton of time. Recently I was tasked with fixing a regression in a module. The bug was a sorting algorithm not activating. There were no exceptions and no steps required to trigger the bug apart from opening the list. That’s an annoying regression to track down since there aren’t any clues to what is going on. Luckily since this sorting algorithm used to function normally it does mean we can track down when it broke.
